March out like a Lamb?

It's still RAINING! At least it's not a monsoon!

We had a very successful plant sale. We raised over $1,000 in sales netting us over $300.00.

Sweet Tomatoes went ok but we probably won't do that particular fund raiser again. It ony netted us around $50. Every penny counts so I am not complaining.

Our next big focus is on our Banquet / Auction. It is scheduled for June 11th. We are looking for a big name to have a draw for us so that we can fish from other ponds.

My dad is snug in a nursing home. He is motivated to do his Physical Therapy so that he can get out of there.

We are officially at 51% of our overall needs. God is doing great things. We just need to trust Him.
The next few weeks don't have anything scheduled so we need to be in prayer to ask God where He wants us to share. We also still need to schedule our time in Southern CA. to raise funds, see my dad (Yuma is just over a 2 hour drive from San diego) and see our newest Grandbaby.

Thanks for all the prayers!

March Madness

It's March and our madness refers to the pace our lifestyle has taken on.
After spring break we see it slowing down but meantime we are being careful to make time for self care. We are making plans to visit So. CA to raise support and visit Ainsley! We can't wait!

Our support is coming in quite nicely! We are at the 50% mark. MAF has told us that the second half is often the most difficult to raise. It has only been 8 weeks since our first newsletter went out. God is in control of the timing of all and we are just fine with that.

We are in the planning stage of our Banquet / Auction scheduled on June 11th. We are looking for donations that could be auctioned off. The tickets will be $20 and will be on sale beginning in May.

Our garage sale was a huge success. We sold over $1,000 in "stuff" we don't need! It's amazing how much "stuff" we have accumulated! We haven't even started really cleaning things out or put any furniture out. Our car hasn't been inside the garage since June last year.
I now need to sort the "stuff" and decide what goes to Good Will and what will stay for our next garage sale April 29th & 30th.

Our first Sweet Tomaotes fund raiser went well. We even had a total stranger make a cash donation to us. Miles went and talked to them after noting that they were craning their heads to see what we were up to. It turns out that their son, who was at the table, actually went to school in Indonesia! It truly is a small world.

Dont' forget to visit us at the Clackamas Sweet Tomatoes on Monday March 21, anytime from 5-8PM. If you don't have the flyer, e-mail us and I will send you one. dion.mcclure@gmail.com.

We need to be more diligent in our language studies. "Things" keep coming up to distract us. With our slowed down schedule I can see us having a more stable "Set" time to work on it.

Dion's dad is doing better in the hospital but will be moved to a rehab center soon. He could go home if mom could get him up but it takes 4 nurses to accomplish the job right now. The infection is on the retreat. Now it is just a matter of time for the "Hematoma" to be reabsorbed into the body so that the pressure is off his sciatic nerve. This prevents him from being able to move or use his leg thus the small army to get him out of bed. We covet your prayers on his behalf.
